Competition Guidelines
Entry Deadline: September 22, 2023 at 5 pm- Drop off is October 1 from 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. and October 2 & 3 from 8:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Multiple entries may be submitted however, exhibitors are only eligible to win one prize.
  • The contest is open to groups, individuals, and families.
  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants by audience vote.
  • Scarecrows must have a vertical support of wood attached to the back of the body (2"x 2" post preferred). Scarecrows cannot be taller than 6 ft and cannot weigh over 15 lbs.
  • This registration form serves as a waiver of liability. Conner Prairie is not responsible for scarecrows on display or for any loss or damage.
  • Conner Prairie reserves the right to remove any scarecrow not holding up to the natural elements. Please ensure your scarecrow is sturdy enough to last through the entire month of October.
  • Conner Prairie may use photos, stories, scarecrows, and entry form information for future publicity and promotion.
  • Conner Prairie reserves the right to deny entries considered offensive or those making controversial, social, religious, advertising, or political statements.

    Pick up is going to be Nov 2 & 3 from 8:30 am - 6 pm. All unclaimed scarecrows may be trashed.
