Symphony on the Prairie FAQ

Safety is paramount to us, and we have developed a robust plan to ensure the health and safety of everyone at Symphony on the Prairie this summer

Ticket Sales

  • An enhancement for 2022: Patrons to purchase date-specific tickets via the ISO website. Attendees must have tickets for that evening’s performance in order to enter.
  • Patrons can also scan a “best-price guarantee” QR code exclusively at Central Indiana Kroger stores to access their discount when they purchase tickets a special Kroger ticket site
  • Tickets will not be sold on-site the night of performances; patrons can get their tickets by using a dedicated QR code on-site to purchase a ticket and use the mobile ticket option.
  • Value Pack or single vouchers have been discontinued to ensure patrons can take full advantage of the “best-price guarantee” using an exclusive Kroger ticket discount. Patrons will scan a QR code at Kroger to access a dedicated purchase site to order day-specific tickets.
    • Patrons desiring to redeem Value Packs and ticket vouchers from the 2020 season will receive a special promo code to exchange them for tickets in this same manner.
    • Those with make-good vouchers from the 2019 season will receive information regarding redeeming those for 2021 Kroger Symphony on the Prairie tickets.
  • As always, tickets can be purchased on the ISO website; for security, specifically-coded tickets will be delivered to patron’s ISO accounts 24 hours prior to the concert start time.
  • For 2021, Kroger Symphony on the Prairie season will adhere to CDC-recommended protocols for the initial summer concerts to allow for adequate social distance between groups. (approximately 4,000 capacity)
    • If “normal condition” are permitted, Kroger Symphony on the Prairie will host a maximum of approximately 8,000 ticketholders.
  • Limited edition upgrades such as Table rentals, reserved seating and the Huntington Sunset Lounge, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
  • Groups of 30 or more may purchase discounted tickets to Kroger Symphony on the Prairie for at a 10% discount. For details, see group sales information at the ISO website. For group sales, contact the box office.

Covid Protocols

  • Social distance when possible
  • Masks recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated.
    • When you enter the venue

    • In line for food and beverage
    • Hand sanitizer is available at the restrooms and other convenient locations
  • Restroom protocols
    • Wearing a mask is recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated
    • Remain at least 6 feet apart when possible
    • Wash your hands following posted CDC protocols
  • Food and Beverage
    • Patrons may carry in their own food and beverages (including alcohol with valid ID) , as well as purchase refreshments on-site
    • Guests at the tables and reserved seating will have bartenders taking orders at your table and mobile ordering available for items from the bar
    • We kindly ask that you properly dispose of your trash at the designated trash receptacles on campus.

Parking

  • Reserved parking is $40 per regular-sized car for each show, providing easy-access parking, is available for individual concerts. Oversized vehicles (determined at the exclusive discretion of the parking operator will be charged $80.

Cancellations/Weather

  • Cancellations due to weather are reported via the ISO’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter feed.“Like” the ISO on Facebook and follow @Indy_Symphony on Twitter and Instagram for up-to-date concert information.
  • Raincheck tickets/vouchers will no longer be used. Instead, your ticket purchase amount will be credited to your ISO Ticket account by x am/pm (or within x hours of the cancellation announcement).
  • How to redeem money on account:
    • Visit indianapolissymphony.org to redeem your tickets.
    • Choose the performance(s) you wish to attend and head to checkout.
    • At checkout apply any unused dollars remaining on your account.

What Can’t I Bring?

  • We do not allow tents, canopies, large tables, pets, hammocks, grills, tiki torches, sparklers, drones, firearms, weapons, fireworks, illegal drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, strobe lights, or irritants (e.g. artificial noisemakers) onto the premises. Large umbrellas may be prohibited. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaporizers, permitted in designated areas only. Violation of these prohibited item guidelines may result in loss of access to the facility for the rest of the season.

Other Questions, Information & Tips

  • Gates open at 6 p.m. and concerts begin at 8 p.m. each night
  • Three large LED screens return to enhance the stage view from every location on the lawn
  • Accessible parking is available with golf cart transportation to and from the gates. Unfortunately, the golf carts are not allowed to transport any further than the perimeter gates. If further accessibility assistance is required to navigate the grounds a wheelchair can be requested for transportation to your seating location.
  • Bring a wagon or a rolling cooler.
    • Additional tips:
  • Bring a chair or picnic blanket.
  • Bring a vinyl tablecloth to place under the blanket you’re sitting on to eliminate dampness. It can also double as a cover for any unexpected rain.
  • Have trash bags ready for when you’ve finished eating and bring a flashlight in case it’s too dark to check the area where you’re sitting.

A Few Final FAQs

  • Help, I have lost my tickets! What do I do?

    If you have misplaced or never received your tickets, please contact the ISO Box Office prior to the performance. If it is less than 24 hours, you can come to the Box Office at Symphony on the Prairie in person. Please bring with you a copy of the order email confirmation. Our staff would be happy to reprint your tickets for you.

  • Do kids need a ticket?

    All persons require a ticket for attendance regardless of age.

  • Are there discounts for kids’ tickets?

    Because Symphony on the Prairie ticket price are so reasonable for everyone, there are no discounted children's tickets.

  • How do I support Symphony the Prairie?
