May 18 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Our Understory Strolls, led by community herbalist Greg Monzel, are explorations of the flora that lives below the tree canopy. Take a guided walk through select non-public areas of our grounds to learn the story of the plants that thrive there, with a special focus on edible and medicinal plants.
On a 90-minute walk guests will explore select non-public areas of our grounds. Greg will point out (and in some cases, offer samples of) local native plants, with a focus on those which are edible or are used medicinally. The May 18 program will focus on plants in our forest biome, and the July 20 program will focus on plants in our White River-adjacent biome. These are two separately ticketed events.
Age 16 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Terrain is not stroller friendly.
