Teresa Altemeyer - History And Watercolor

Teresa Altemeyer: History and Watercolor opens June 7, 2019. Ms Altemeyer’s paintings focus on the pastoral scenes of Conner Prairie and the residents of 1836 Prairietown. This exhibition not only showcases Altemeyer’s work, it delves deep into the artistic process and techniques of watercolor painting. Through her quotes and descriptions, Conner Prairie visitors will gain insight on how a watercolor painting comes to life and how artists gather inspiration for their work. In addition to Altemeyer’s work, other Indiana water-colorists from the past are highlighted, including Julia Conner, William and Elizabeth Conner’s great-grand niece.
