Historic Vegetarian Cooking

July 26 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

bowl of food

The early 1800s saw an emergence of philosophical ideals and dietary variations based on both religious and health practices. This ideology recommended diets that included abstaining from consuming animal meat and intoxicating beverages.

Dive into history and learn from the past as you cook a variety of historical vegetarian recipes from the early nineteenth-century movements.

While many of these dishes and ideas would not be vegetarian by today’s standards, we will prepare truly vegetarian dishes in this class. This class is for individuals ages 16+.
