Learn about 19th century firearms from a Civil War Soldier at the 103rd Indiana militia camp over in Civil War Journey. Engage in conversation with him about how a soldiers and civilians viewed guns and how to safely and responsibly use them.
Watch a soldier load and fire a Civil War rifle as well as discuss the different kinds of weapons that were created prior to the American Civil War.
Engage in conversation about how soldiers viewed killing or dying, destroying or taking someone’s property. Being a Civil War soldier is a difficult and deadly task, do you have what it takes to be a soldier? What are you willing to do to defend your state and your family?
Are you willing to obey orders even if you disagree with them?
Are willing to take someone’s property like food, livestock as a soldier?
