We currently offer the following experience add ons: 1859 Balloon Voyage, Chicken Check-In, Wonder Walk, Guided Walk Through Promised Land as Proving Ground, Steam On!, and Its About Time. Reservations are required for all six add-ons. A separate invoice will be sent. 1859 Balloon Voyage: Give your class the experience to fly 377 feet up in the air while learning about the first successful airmail delivery in the U.S. Chicken check-in: In this add-on program, your class will spend time with our chickens in an up-close, informal environment. Discover such chicken topics as: life cycle, breeds, and behavior. 2025 Dates: May: 6, 13, 20; Sept: 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; Oct: 7, 14, 21 Wonder Walk: Give your students the time, space, and freedom to connect with nature. In this add-on program, your class will spend time with our Education staff at Treetop Amphitheater and along the Nature Walk. 2025 Dates: April: 11, 18 and 25; May: 2, 9, 16 and 23; September: 5, 12, 19 and 26; October: 3, 10, 17 and 24 Guided Walk Through Promised Land as Proving Ground: During this walkthrough of Promised Land as Proving Ground take time to pause, reflect, notice and wonder as you experience our newest exhibit. 2025 Dates: April: 3, 10, 17 and 24; May: 1, 8, 15 and 22; September: 4, 11, 18 and 25; October: 2, 9, 16 and 23 Steam On!: During this 30-minute Play Experience Add-On students will have the opportunity to interact with play invitations representing each of the letters in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). 2025 Dates: May: 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22 Its About Time: During this 30-minute Play Experience Add-On students in Preschool through Fifth Grade will have the opportunity to explore and discover the foundational concepts of history and the passage of time. We will schedule your lunch as close to your typical lunch time as possible.Animal Encounters Barn In order to provide a more enjoyable and safer experience for our guests and animals, we are requesting groups sign up for a time in the Barn. This will help spread out the crowd and give everyone a better experience. Please note: Each time slot is 15 minutes long and can accommodate 75 people at one time. We will assign adjoining time slots, pending availability and on a first come first serve basis, to accommodate larger groups. You will receive your final time slot in your confirmation email. We encourage schools that are able to stay later to choose later time slots.
