Apple Butter Bandy Meatballs Recipe
What you’ll need:
Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 medium onion, finely minced
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2-3 tbsp finely minced sage
Sauce:
- 1 1/2 cups apple butter
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tbls chili sauce
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Mix the meatball ingredients together gently and thoroughly.
- Use a TBLS to portion meatballs; roll until smooth and round.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Combine all sauce ingredients to a large saucepan, stirring to a boil.
- Heat 2 TBLS olive oil in a large skillet and brown meatballs in batches for 5-7 minutes, turning often.
- Combine the meatballs and sauce; bring to a simmer; move to crock pot to keep warm.
