So the Story Goes...

Earlier in my career, my job placed me in close proximity to Jonesboro, Tennessee where the International Storytelling Festival occurs annually. Having grown up in a family and community well versed in storytelling and tall tales, and then having early exposure to internationally acclaimed storytellers influenced my personal style of public presentation and the forms of communication to visitors at museums.

That’s why I'm thrilled to announce that Conner Prairie will be holding a brand new storytelling based festival aptly titled, “So the Story Goes”, on April 13. This festival was created as a means to celebrate storytelling in all its forms, including traditional oral storytelling, music, visual art, on-the-spot poetry, interaction with historical Indiana authors, representatives from literacy groups, and more. Guests will be able to experience storytelling in all historic areas across the grounds. I encourage you to come prepared to listen, learn, interact, and create!
