Conner Prairie has a preferred vendor relationship for food services through MBP Distinctive Caterers, Inc. Current menu options can be provided upon request. For quick reference only, below is a select list of options and check averages for each meal type.

Historic Challenges

Do you have what it takes to survive life on the prairie? Gather your co-workers, friends or teammates and take part in a day of historic challenges. Put your frontier skills to the test, compete in 19th-century games, look for clues in a scavenger hunt, and much more.

Prairie Personalities

Exciting, humorous and unique residents of 1836 Prairietown or Lenape Indian Camp stop by and visit with your group based on the theme of your event or company particulars. Or let us tailor a program specific to your interests with additional personalities or topics. Personalities can even dine with your group or greet your guests when they arrive. 

Admission to Conner Prairie

Make your event complete with admission for all of your guests to Conner Prairie's indoor exhibits and outdoor historic areas.
Group Admission (15 guests or more): $11 adults, $7 youth 2-12 // Free for members and youth under 2

Entertainment Rentals

Make your event special and uniquely Conner Prairie with the inclusion of entertainment. Many of the below listed options are seasonal and based on allowability due to any conflicts of interest on your preferred date. Your sales contact will be glad to review the options that best meet your needs and fit within the restrictions of Conner Prairie's public offerings on the date of your event.

Includes firepit with one bundle of wood (two hours of fire). $100 each/$45 each additional bundle of wood. Firewood must be supplied by Conner Prairie. 

Sand volleyball court is available at Hilltop Pavilion only. Fees include use of court, net and balls.

Meetings and Entertainment Meetings

Conner Prairie offers you something a little different than most places when it comes to meeting and event location options. We have traditional pillar-free conference space, divisible for smaller breakouts to one large space accomodating 200 guests, to a unique open-concept space with natural lighting and an outdoor deck. How about a house nestled in the woods, decorated with Asian-influenced art and architectural elements to accomodate as many as 56 guests. All areas are equipped with wireless WiFi. You may provide your own AV or we can supply the basics. Let our catering sales team help you find the most efficient meeting space for a memorable experience!

  • Can I bring in an outside caterer for my event?

    All food and beverage must be purchased through Conner Prairie and/or the preferred food vendor.

  • What kind of audiovisual support is available?

    For all indoor venues, Conner Prairie has available for rent the basics, e.g. screen, cart, electrical cords, projector, laptop computer, flipchart kits. Client may also provide their own.

    Some indoor venues have built-in sound systems, which include house speakers and, for rent, we can provide wireless and wired microphones.

    All indoor venues have access to Wi-Fi either with passcodes or via hot spot.

    More extensive AV support needs can be arranged through preferred partners.

  • What’s Conner Prairie’s weather policy?

    Conner Prairie will not be liable for weather or any other cause beyond the museum’s control. Refunds will not be given for weather related changes. The staff at Conner Prairie does have your best interest in mind and will do everything possible to ensure a successful event.

  • What’s Conner Prairie’s cancellation policy?

    All deposits are non-refundable and are not transferable to other dates. If your event is cancelled fewer than 30 days prior to the function date, a cancellation fee of up to 100 percent of the estimated charges on the event agreement may be assessed.

  • Is there a fee for parking?

    There is no fee for parking at any of the venues. For events held in or near the Welcome Center, or held the same day as a Conner Prairie special event, or on Symphony on the Prairie dates, parking for all guests is first come, first served. If arranged for during the contracting process, a limited number of parking passes will be provided for event attendees. The use of these passes does not guarantee preferred parking but will give a few designated guests the chance to park as close as possible to the main building. The passes merely direct the parking attendants to allow access to surface parking; it does not guarantee availability. Any party members who have personal license plates and/or placards for accessible/handicapped parking will be directed to a specific parking lot with proper display and documentation of their plates/placards.
