Natural Dyeing
Gain the expertise to create glorious reds, yellows, indigo blue and other striking colors for textiles from Conner Prairie specialists. Using ancient methods like the use of insects, plants, and nuts, you'll learn the traditional dyeing process and take home a rainbow of samples.

Advanced Carving
Refine your detail carving skills using practice stocks with expert Jim Chambers. Special emphasis will be given to traditional 18th-century carving design and drawing. Experience preferred.

Silver Wire Inlay
Discover the process of decorative silver wire inlay with instructor John Schippers. Inlay can be applied to rifles, furniture or knife or tomahawk handles. Learn proper design, tool construction and execution of silver wire.

Learn how to build a pipe tomahawk with instructors Nathan Allen and Melvin Lytton. Gain the skills for basic forging processes starting with a section of gun barrel. File work and handle application will also be covered. Tools required.

Make your own portmanteau traveling case with instructor John Weston. Learn basic leather work techniques such as pattern development, stitching, burnishing and dyeing as you construct your own attractive traveling case.
