If you’ve been out to Conner Prairie in the past few weeks I hope you’ve recognized the new “vibe” for our guests. There is an audible new “vibe” through music and audio messaging in the lobby of the Great Hall and at Café on the Commons - and there’s a physical new vibe in how our guests engage with nature and the White River around Treetop Outpost. Inside the Museum Center and around Clowes Commons we’ve created our own custom Conner Prairie Radio Network (CPRN) through a partnership with Vibenomics and their Vibe On Network. The system gives us real flexibility in message content, style of music played and the ability to change messages frequently so we can better inform our guests about all the news and happenings at Conner Prairie. For instance, some of the reoccurring messages you hear over CPRN include information about how to “wander” Conner Prairie’s 1,000 acres, including spots for our new “explore and play in nature” vibe found at Fort Hoosier, River Lookout and Nature Amphitheater at Treetop Outpost; exciting changes at River Crossing and Animal Encounters; history lived daily at Lenape Indian Camp and Prairietown; and spots that talk about the benefits of being a member and how to convert general admission tickets into Conner Prairie memberships. Some other messages you will hear are about upcoming events include Curiosity Fair, Father’s Day at Conner Prairie, Members Night at Symphony on the Prairie, Glorious Fourth, First Responders Day, Giving Voice performances and our new Sunset Balloon Flights on Thursday evenings. So the next time you walk into Conner Prairie be sure to tune in to our new “vibe”.
