It is my pleasure to announce the hiring of Susana Duarte de Suarez as Conner Prairie’s new vice president-chief marketing officer. She has a wide range of experience, having served as an elected official, political appointee and experienced executive, working inside and outside of government. She joins the museum as head of the Neuro-Diagnostic Institute and Advanced Treatment Center, a division of the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, and is currently serving her second four-year term as an at-large Zionsville Town Council member. Susana formerly held the positions of director of communications for Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb, executive director of the Hispanic International Trade Council and executive positions with Holcim, CEMEX and Anheuser-Busch. In addition, she was chief compliance officer with the Peace Corps, assistant director of regional operations for the Federal Emergency Management Agency and vice chairwoman of the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.
