Indy Hub at Headless Horseman

Attention all young professionals! Together with Indy Hub, we invite you to join us Thursday, Oct. 29 for a festive fall night and a haunted hayride at Conner Prairie's popular Headless Horseman event. We'll have a fall picnic dinner, cocktails and toast s'mores around the campfire before taking off at dark for a VIP hayride. Watch out, the Headless Horseman is likely to visit along the way! After the hayride, all attendees are welcome to stay and take part in all of the Headless Horseman activities. Stick around for haunted ghost stories by moonlight if you dare!

Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchased in advance. Tickets will not be available at the door.

FAQ

What are the hours for the event?
The dinner event is from 7 – 9 p.m. and the VIP hayride will begin at approximately 9 p.m. Headless Horseman activities are open until 10 p.m.

How do I register?
You may register by visiting this link. Indy Hub Headless Horseman registrations must be made in advance by midnight on Oct. 28. Tickets will not be available at the door.

Where do I go once I get to Conner Prairie?
Upon entering Conner Prairie, please place the VIP parking pass on your dashboard and tell the parking attendants you are with Indy Hub. They will direct you to the Hilltop Shelter parking.

What if I didn’t receive a parking pass or need to print another?
After registering online you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to the parking pass. If you are driving separately from friends, please print an additional pass. If you need the link again, please contact Angela Tuell at tuell@connerprairie.org or 317-214-4732.

What should I wear?
The Indy Hub Headless Horseman event is an outdoor event. October evenings can get quite chilly. Please dress accordingly in warm clothing and walking shoes or boots. We recommend dressing in layers and huddling close on the hayride.

What will be served for dinner?
We will be having hamburgers, hotdogs, vegetarian pasta salad, baked beans, chips and s’mores by the campfire. Two cocktails or soft drink tickets will be given to each person and a cash bar will be available.

Will the balloon be flying and can I take a voyage?
Conner Prairie’s 1859 Balloon Voyage will be operating (weather dependent). There is an additional fee to take a flight. Since this will be a busy night, it is recommended that if you plan on flying, you purcahse your tickets when you arrive to guarantee a flight. Tickets are $15 or $10 with a $5 coupon from participating BP/ampm convenience stores. For a list click here.

Can I take pictures during the hayride?
Feel free to bring your camera or camcorder to the event; however, we do not allow flash photography during the hayride or equipment on tripods. We suggest that you leave valuables at home, keep your cell phones zipped in your pockets and be cautious when exiting the wagon. Conner Prairie is not responsible for misplaced items.

Can I bring children to this event?
This is an Indy Hub event that consists of young professionals and we will be serving alcohol. Therefore, we do not suggest children be a part of this event. There are many opportunities to bring your children to Headless Horseman. Please visit this link for information on our family-friendly Headless Horseman.

Could the event be cancelled due to bad weather?
The event will take place rain or shine. However, if there are severe weather conditions, it is possible the hayride will be cancelled for the safety of the horses and their riders. Guests may call 317.776.6000 for weather updates. Due to unpredictable weather in October, we advise that you dress in layers and plan accordingly.
