Do something fun with your kid this Friday! Connect one-on-one while you decorate crafts, dance, sing and take part in the special activity of the day. Sign up for one class or the whole series!

Let It Snow!

Sleds have been a practical and fun way to travel on snow for a long time. Get the chance to climb aboard our historic sleigh on display in the Museum Center. Make a snow craft to take home and sing along with snowman songs.
Clay Play

Spend this session working with clay and make a coil pot. Watch as a Conner Prairie potter makes a small pot.
Gracious Groundhog

Did the groundhog see his shadow? We will learn about this tradition and explore how groundhogs and other animals cope when it’s cold outside. Make shadow puppets and look for animal tracks.
Valentine’s Day Party

Join us in a celebration of this special holiday. We’ll make festive crafts including a fancy 1886-style Victorian Valentine. We’ll also decorate a heart cookie.

Come make merry music. We’ll have historic instruments (a dulcimer and a drum) on hand to touch. Make a cardboard kazoo and a drum to use as we finish off with a St. Patrick’s Day parade.

See some 1800s-era kites and learn about flying them. Make and decorate a kite and other paper toys that fly. Weather permitting; we will go outside to try our kites.

Take a closer look at some birds’ nests and then make your own to take home. We’ll take a hike to look for Conner Prairie nests (weather permitting), and have a bird’s nest snack!

Find out about carpentry and making log cabins. Make a miniature log cabin to take home and visit a log cabin on our grounds (weather permitting). We will make a log cabin snack and a craft especially for Dad.
