Conner Prairie hosts An Evening Dinner with Freetown Village

WHAT: Enjoy An Evening Dinner with Freetown Village and celebrate African American heritage at Conner Prairie. Guests will delight in an entertaining and educational 19th century evening with costumed Freetown Village interpreters. This collaboration between Freetown Village and Conner Prairie is an effort to immerse children and families in a compelling period of Indiana’s history in a way that’s engaging and unique.

WHEN: Feb. 21 in The Overlook Room at Conner Prairie and March 21 in The Prairie House at Conner Prairie.
This three hour program takes place from 6-9pm both evenings.

WHERE: Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Road, Fishers, Indiana

DETAILS: An Evening Dinner with Freetown Village provides guests with 1870s authentic period entertainment, including parlor games, storytelling and music. This experience also includes a full course, family-style meal that includes pot roast, oven-fried chicken, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, green beans, corn bread and apple cobbler or ham, roasted turkey, corn bread dressing, sweet potato pones, hoppin’ john, green beans and lemon pound cake.

Prepaid reservations are required and still available for this program at a cost of $50 for Freetown Village and/or Conner Prairie members and $60 for non-members.
