Spend the day on the rolling hills of Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel on Tuesday, October, 7, 2008, as Conner Prairie hosts the 12th annual Golf Classic, which benefits Conner Prairie’s educational programming, which reaches more than 60,000 school children annually.
This year’s Golf Classic will honor a long-time Fishers resident, prominent business owner, Conner Prairie donor and friend A.W. “Mac” Reynolds, who passed away earlier this year. Mac was the owner and founder of the family operated John Deere dealership, Reynolds Farm Equipment, Inc., in Fishers, Indiana, Mac loved his community, the game of gold and the chance to make a difference in someone’s life – especially the life of a child.
Located on 206 acres of natural wetlands, scenic hills, five lakes, towering trees and 90 white sand bunkers, sits Prairie View, a scenic and challenging golf course designed by world-renowned architect Robert Trent Jones.
Time:
Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. The shotgun start begins at 12:30 p.m.

Prairie View Golf Club, an award-winning picturesque and challenging course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., is located across White River from Conner Prairie, at 7000 Longest Drive in Carmel.
Purpose:
The outing benefits Conner Prairie’s educational programs, including school group tours to the museum for over 60,000 Indiana school children.
Conner Prairie tells a fundamental American story about the settlement of Indiana and the resourcefulness of its 19th century pioneers. The museum’s expanded list of program offerings and family events are the result of continued community support from generous individuals and corporate partners.
Fees:
$800 per foursome includes a boxed lunch, complimentary beverage cart items, prizes for winning teams, great gifts, 18 holes of golf with a golf cart and hors d’oeuvres. Hole sponsorships are an additional $400. Companies wishing to have a foursome and a hole sponsorship may do so for $1,150. Additional benefits apply. Individuals can play for $200.
