Costumed hosts will guide you through meal preparation as you try your hand at 19th-century cooking techniques. After all of your hard work, enjoy a delicious meal in the historic ambiance of the Conner House. Complete your evening with parlor games and a tour of the home. Victorian Tea Party

Gather your friends for a tea party like no other! Learn the rich history and etiquette of tea, sample different varieties and enjoy period savories and sweets. Experience the elegance of the 1886 Zimmerman farmhouse and take home a book of recipes for hosting your own tea party. Noon-2 pm. Play the role of a fugitive slave and encounter a wide range of people and events, including a slave sale, a belligerent transplanted Southerner, a reluctantly helpful farm wife, a slave hunter, a Quaker family and more. Learn what it meant to risk everything for freedom. This award-winning program is recommended for ages 12 & older. Civil War Weekend
May 19-20
Honor America's veterans with a weekend full of Civil War battle re-enactments, artillery demonstrations and infantry drills! Go back in time to the 1860s and talk with a soldier, enlist in the Army and visit an infantry camp or field hospital. Free with museum admission of $11/adult, $10/senior and $7/youth. Indiana Festival

Experience and enjoy a wide variety of dance, music, food and art showcasing the diverse cultures and heritage of Indiana. See demonstrations and shop from skilled artisans and craftsmen representing the artist's cultural heritage in areas of painting, jewelry, basketry, furniture, glass, woodworking, textiles and more. Glorious Fourth

Celebrate America's heritage during this popular annual event! The Fourth of July has always been important to Americans. See how this celebration has changed (or not changed) over the years! March with the Prairietown militia as it musters, taste some homemade ice cream and join in an historic base ball game. Wave the red, white and blue as you listen to some patriotic music. Country Fair

Celebrate your Indiana farm heritage! Experience a re-created 1886 agricultural fair in Liberty Corner complete with tool, garden and textile displays, livestock exhibitions, farm equipment and the mysterious Tent of Wonders. Discover antique tractors, threshing machines and more! This is your chance to see how farming has evolved over the years. Then, it's time for fun and games through our hands-on activities. Grind corn, meet the animals, participate in agricultural equipment demonstrations, sample heirloom apples and enjoy festival foods and music. Don't forget to visit the Museum Shop to stock up on your favorite fall foods and d�cor. Gather the family, have some fall fun and explore your Indiana farm heritage. Headless Horseman

Spooky tales around the campfire, old-fashioned Halloween games, barn dancing, seasonal crafts and haunted hayrides.It sounds like Conner Prairie is being taken over by everyone's favorite October event, Headless Horseman. Huddle close in the haywagon because the Headless Horseman has been known to make appearances in the past and this year is probably no different! It's a frightfully fun evening for the entire family. Gingerbread Village

Conner Prairie's Gingerbread Village has become a holiday tradition for families everywhere. You'll enjoy being transported into a gingerbread land with all the wonders of holidays past. See a festive display of gingerbread houses, churches and historic buildings with intricate designs and colorful trimmings created by area professionals and individuals. Admission charged. Conner Prairie by Candlelight

Join us for a magical stroll through holidays past, right into the homes of the Prairietown residents. Wander the paths of Prairietown, visit the villagers in their homes and listen as they reflect on the meaning of the holiday season in 1836 Indiana. Immerse yourself in the simple things - crackling wood fires, crisp winter air, candlelit paths - during one of the 90-minute tours that depart from the Museum Center every 10 minutes.
